Mandatory for all Fall 2019 Black Belt Candidates. Candidates will be competing in the Black Belt Candidate division. They will compete in two rounds of events which will include the first 5 counts of the Kickboxing Pattern and Palgae 7.

The first round will consist of the candidate demonstrating the first 5 counts of the Kickboxing Pattern in the air. This will be followed by the student’s presentation and Palgae 7 after they have taken off their boxing gloves. The top 4 scores will move on to the second round of competition. This includes any ties in score and there is no limit on the number of competitors moving to the next round.

The second round of the Black Belt Candidate division consists of the competitors demonstrating the Kickboxing Pattern on an active pad holder. The competitors will cycle through multiple rounds until the judges have been satisfied with the performance. The competitors will then take off their gloves to perform Palgae 7 an additional time. The top 4 scores will result in a podium finish.

It is important to understand that Black Belt training will occur immediately after ALL Black Belt Candidate divisions have concluded. Black Belt Candidates are required to stay until after the Spirit Rally with KJN Tony Thompson and KJN Ernie Reyes.
